Deze ontwikkeling is vaak gericht op het uitbreiden en aanscherpen van kennis, vaardigheden en gedrag.\u00a0Het kan zich ook richten op het versterken van het zelfvertrouwen\u00a0of het omgaan met persoonlijke belemmeringen die sales professionals kunnen ervaren in contacten met klanten.<\/p>\n<p>Vaak worden\u00a0trainingen, workshops en lezingen ingezet\u00a0om de talenten van sales professionals te ontwikkelen. We zien dat organisaties ook steeds meer gebruik maken van sales coaching.\u00a0Sales coaching wordt ingezet\u00a0als een vervolg op een training of als een zelfstandig traject.\u00a0Volgens\u00a02005 SEC Coaching Effectiveness Survey is sales coaching de\u00a0nummer 1 activiteit die sales performance vergroot.<br \/>\nEr zijn vier varianten van sales coaching:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>coachen door de leidinggevende\/manager;<\/li>\n<li>coachen door een senior sales professional;<\/li>\n<li>coachen door een interne coach;<\/li>\n<li>coachen door een externe coach.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Deze varianten kennen allemaal hun voor- en nadelen. Hiervan enkele voorbeelden:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Coachen door de leidinggevende\/manager.<\/strong><br \/>\nVoordeel: de manager heeft doorgaans veel ervaring in het werkveld als sales professional en kan veel tips en suggesties geven.<br \/>\nNadeel: de\u00a0hi\u00ebrarchische\u00a0verhouding kan een rol spelen in het\u00a0cre\u00ebren\u00a0van een veilige leeromgeving, tijdgebrek en geringe ervaring met coachingsvaardigheden.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Coachen door een senior sales professional.<\/strong><br \/>\nVoordeel: de senior sales professional heeft veel ervaring in het werkveld als sales professional en\u00a0kan veel tips en suggesties geven.<br \/>\nNadeel: tijdgebrek kan een rol spelen en geringe ervaring met coachingsvaardigheden.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Coachen door een interne coach<\/strong><br \/>\nVoordeel: indien een interne coach deel uitmaakt van het team heeft hij\/zij ervaring met het werkveld en beschikt over coachingsvaardigheden.<br \/>\nNadeel: indien coach geen deel uitmaakt van het team kan acceptatie een rol spelen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.
